Jerry Cooper, 78 of Salina, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013. He was born November 1, 1934 in Lucama, North Carolina.

He retired after 24 years service in the US Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Jerry was a member of the VFW and a volunteer for the Senior Center here in Salina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Elmer E and Etta E. Cooper.

Survivors include -
Wife of 55 years: Ilene of the home
Son: William Cooper of Salina
Brother: Bobby Ray Cooper of Henderson, NC
Sister: Silvia Cooper-Whitfield of Princeton, NC
Nephew: Bill Whitfield
Niece Celeste Cooper-Peel

A memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Salemsborg Lutheran Church, 3831 W. Salemsborg Rd., Smolan, with a family inurnment prior to the service.
