Jerome M. Koster
Jerome M. "Jeep" Koster, 85, of Salina, died Friday Sept 6, 2013. He was born Sept 25, 1927 in Cawker City, the son of Henry and Susan (Thomas) Koster.
He worked as an oceanographer for over twenty years and surveyed the entire coastline of the continental United States. He served as corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
Jeep was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Joan Self; second wife, Patricia Koster; two brothers, Harold and Richard; and one sister, Marcella Hyde.

Three sisters: Delores Quenzer of Valley Center
Marilyn Lingg and husband Wayne of Alma, NE
Janice Koster of Loveland, CO
Eight grandchildren: Chelsi Koster
Great grandchildren: Maliyah Koster
Step-daughter: Kim Mattull
Step-granddaughter: Kimberly Mzhula Henry
The family will greet visitors from 5:30 until 6:30 PM Friday at the Ryan Mortuary, with Vigil Service beginning at 6:30.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM Saturday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral with inturment in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Cawker City.
There is no viewing as cremation was chosen.
