Arlene Richardean Cushing Carney, a resident of Chapman, KS, passed away September 5, 2013 at Chapman Valley Manor in Chapman, KS at the age of 101. She was born March 1, 1012 in Chapman, KS to William and Ness Foley Cushing.

She attended Chapman Grade School and High School. She moved to Wichita KS to help her Aunts.

She was married to Charles Kuhn, and then lived at Ft. Riley, KS. The moved to Pennsylvania and later divorced.

She moved to Chicago, IL and lived with her aunts. She worked at a Merchandiser Mart in Chicago.

She was then married to Warren Schneberg in 1947 and they moved to Chapman, KS in 1960. He preceded her in death in 1966.

She was married to Leonard Carney in 1969 and they made their home in Chapman, KS. After Leonard retired they moved to Peabody, KS and then to Wichita, KS. They later moved back to Chapman in 1990 and he preceded her in death in 1993.

She lived in Chapman for the rest of her life. She was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church, and the American Legion Axillary #240, both in Chapman.

She is survived by -

Two Grandson: Jeffrey Blixt (Becky) Of Chapman, KS
Kerry Blixt (Rina) of Fraser, CO
Three Great Grandchildren: Brandt, Ethan, Alexis Blitxt
One Sister: Patricia Yates Neil of Hayward, WI

She was preceded in death by her husbands; two sons: Edward Dean Kuhn and Gary Brynford Kuhn; two grandchildren: Kyle Blixt and Danille Kuhn; three sisters: Clara Lovesee, OLeva Hanlon, and an infant sisters Winifred Cushing; five brothers: William, Leo, Michael, Walter, and John Cushing.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Chapman, KS on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 10 am with Father Henry Baxa officiating.

Burial of the ashes will be at St. Patricks Cemetery, northeast of Chapman, KS.

The family will receive friends at the Londeen Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening, September 10th at 6 pm followed by the Rosary at 7 pm.

The Londeen Funeral Chapel will be open for visitation Tuesday afternoon beginning at 1 pm.

Memorials may be given to the Chapman Valley Manor in Chapman, KS or Friends of the Animals in Junction City, KS and may be sent in care of the Londeen Funeral Chapel, Box 429, Chapman KS 67431.
