Larry   Pauls

Larry Pauls, 72, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 8:50 a.m., Sunday, August 25th, while in the company of family members, at his home. Larry was born in McPherson, Kansas, on May 28, 1941, the son of Lilly (Bartel) and Alvin W. Pauls.

Larry attended the Groveland and Conway country schools and graduated from Inman High School, Inman, Kansas, in 1959.

Larry was a member of Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church, rural Inman, Kansas.

Through the years, Larry worked as a carpenter for Harold Schlender, Harris Development, and for Peters Lumber Company. He was a fireman for the City of McPherson, was a construction worker for Pyle Construction and was currently the owner and operator of Pauls Construction.

Larry Pauls was united in marriage to Chery Korb Potter on August 20, 1977, at McPherson, Kansas.

Children: Barry Pauls and his wife Debbie, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho
Kelly Pauls and his wife Lorna, of McPherson, Kansas
Joel Pauls, of McPherson, Kansas
Christy Potter Kass and her husband Guy, of Morristown, New Jersey
Jennifer Potter, of Los Angeles, California
Sister: Florence, wife of John Martens, of Inman, Kansas
Seven grandchildren: Tyler Pauls and his wife Kenzie
Spencer Pauls
Emily Wilkerson and her husband Jody
Trichia Penner and her husband Bob
Megan Pauls
Madison Pauls
Macie Pauls
Five great-grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews
Other relatives and a host of friends

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lilly Pauls, and a sister, Laura Klatt.

The memorial service will be held at the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church, Inman, Kansas, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 with Pastor Cleo Koop and Chaplin Amy Claassen officiating.

The final resting place will be at the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church Cemetery, Inman, Kansas.
