Bernice E. Stout, 79, passed away Saturday August 24th, in Abilene. She was born July 6, 1934 in Lost Springs, Kansas, the daughter of George and Emma (Lutz) Deines.

Growing up in the area, she attended local schools and graduated from Lost Springs High School with the class of 1952. After school, she was employed by Southwestern Bell.

On August 19, 1954, she was married to Merle D. Stout. Most all of their married life has been spent in Abilene where she did babysitting in her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Paul and Maynard Deines.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 29th, at the Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Justin Panzer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rose Meron Cemetery north of Longford.

The family will receive friends 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, August 28th, at the Danner Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be given to the Faith Lutheran Church. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410
