Obituary

Kenneth Paul Jocius, 64 of Hope, Kansas passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 24, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Paul and Violet (Spirauskas) Jocius.

He graduated High School from Quigley South Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Kenneth proudly served in the Marines from 1969 until 1971 during Viet Nam. During that time he served in the 2nd Radio Battalion as a Persian Linguist (Interpreter). After the Marines, Kenneth received his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. Kenneth worked in the tech industry in the District of Columbia and Chicago.

On February 14, 1992 he married Connie (McMahan) in Palos Hills, Illinois.

He is survived by -
Wife: Connie
Son: Craig Jocious of Maryland
Daughter: Michele August and husband David of Hope
Four grandchildren: Abigail, Ryan, Devin, and Keegan August
Sister: Rita (David) Golden of Wichita, Kansas
Several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Graveside service with Military Honors for Kenneth will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 26, 2013 at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Tampa, Kansas with Father Darrin May as Celebrant.
