The Southeast of Saline USD 306 Board of Education has hired a new superintendent. According to the district, Greg Mann will become the next Superintendent of Schools.

Mann has served as the Superintendent of Schools in Norton since 2001.

He received his Bachelor’s of Science from Kansas State University and his Master’s in Secondary School Counseling and Building and District Leadership endorsements from Fort Hays State University. In 2011, the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association inducted him into their Hall of Fame and the Kansas School Superintendents Association presented him with their Distinguished Service Award.

Mann will replace Richard Proffitt, who announced his resignation back in February. Proffitt has accepted the superintendent’s position at USD #413 Chanute Public Schools.

Mann will begin his tenure in the USD 306 District on July 1st.
