The Saline County Commission reorganized for 2014 Tuesday, and it will look exactly the same as 2013.

Randy Duncan will remain chairman for a second consecutive year. Jim Gile will remain vice-chair, while John Price will remain secretary. Commissioners were also assigned boards and committees to serve on in 2014.

The county also is discussing moving the time of their televised, formal weekly meeting, possibly moving it 4:00 in the afternoon once a month. Currently commissioners meet one day a week, throughout the day on Tuesdays. The formal televisied meeting is at 11:00 in the morning. Commissioners at a later date may opt to move the 11:00 meeting to a later time in the afternoon once a month.

The county commission routinely reorganizes each January.

Commissioners also indicated Tuesday that they are still dealing with issues in regard to the new Saline County Health Department. Commissioner John Price said that they are still considering a policy in which employees would not lose accrued sick leave time in the switchover from it being a city agency to a county agency.
