A Salina man was injured after losing control of his motorcycle on Shipton Road Saturday afternoon.

According to Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan, 57-year-old Joseph Schaulis was riding his 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Shipton, when a vehicle pulled halfway into the intersection of Shipton and Wasserman and stopped.

Deputies say Schaulis lost control of his Harley when he attempted to steer around the vehicle and rode into a ditch.

He was transported to Salina Regional Health Center with undisclosed injuries.

The accident occurred at about 3:40pm on Saturday, May 28th.
