UPDATE: Body of Missing Man Found

A missing man from Lindsborg was found dead yesterday south of Salina on a property along Old Highway 81.

Christopher Howell, 25, was reported missing in August by a sister. The sister brought Howell to the Ambassy Hotel on West Crawford in May to board a bus to visit another sibling in Oregon.

In August, when the sister contacted the sibling in Oregon, they discovered that Howell was not at either residence, which prompted the missing person report. Howell was found hanging in a tree by several teenagers driving golf balls yesterday.

Saline County Sheriff’s Office deputies suspect the body has been hanging for quite some time.

An autopsy is expected, although deputies believe this was a suicide, and no foul play is suspected.
