A rear end collision on the 2000 block of North Ohio took an ugly turn when one of the drivers involved punched another driver.

A man driving a blue F250 was rear ended by a man driving a Rav 4. 21-year-old Matthew Dimaplaus of Salina was the driver of the Rav 4, and was under the influence of alcohol when he made the collision. Dimaplaus got out of his vehicle to talk to the driver he hit, and when he found out the other driver was calling the police to report the accident, Dimaplaus punched the driver in the face three times.

The driver declined medical treatment, but Dimaplaus was arrested for DUI, following to closely, battery and driving on a suspended license.
