Meth, Guns Found with Stolen Items

An investigation into a stolen wood stove leads to the discovery of other stolen items and the arrest of a Salina man.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office used a search warrant to enter a home at 917 N. 13th Lot #6 and found a wood stove that was reportedly stolen from a home in the 5000 block of N. Hohneck last February.

Deputies also found 2 mopeds that were reported stolen from a property in the 1300 block of W. North street sometime between last November and August of 2016.

Tuesday just before noon, deputies arrested 60-year-old Randall D. Anderson in connection to the thefts.

He is also facing charges for possession of marijuana, methamphetamine and guns.

Authorities say Anderson scratched the serial number off a Marlin .22 caliber rifle. Deputies also recovered a 12-guage shotgun from the home and he’ll also face felony possession charges due to prior convictions.
