Marion Teen Killed In Crash

A teen from Marion was killed in crash on K150 Highway in rural Chase county Saturday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Kaleb Montgomery was headed east. He had just passed a car and was about to pass a semi, when he swerved to the right to avoid an on-coming semi. He over corrected, and veered into to north ditch.
The semi struck Montgomery’s car on the passenger side. The semi overturned, coming to rest on its driver side.
Montgomery was ejected from his car, which came to rest in the south ditch. Debris from the collision struck a third vehicle.
Montgomery died at the scene. The driver of the semi, 53-year-old Charles Foremen from Garden City, was hurt. He was transported to a Wichita hospital.
The crash happened Saturday morning at 10:55, about 14 miles west of Strong City on K150 highway in Chase county.
