Man Who Left Crash Scene Found

A Lyons man suffers a possible broken arm following a rollover crash and a fall into a creek.

Deputies spent the overnight hours searching for a 37-year-old Jeremy Fundenberger after they were called to the scene of a crash Tuesday night.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan tells KSAL News that Fundenberger apparently lost control of his 2015 Chevy pickup on a curve from Bell Road onto Camarena in northeast Saline County at 8:30pm.

Deputies were contacted just after 10pm about the accident by an individual who pulled up on the scene and asked Fundenberger if he was hurt or needed a ride.

The witness called authorities after Fundenberger refused and walked off into the night.

He was located this morning around 6am, muddy and complaining of pain from a possible broken arm at Niles exit on I-70.

The Sheriff’s Office says the truck is owned by Midstates Infrastructure  of Indianapolis, IN and was towed from the scene.

Fundenberger was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment and was cited for driving at unsafe speeds and leaving the scene of an accident.
