Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a Monday night shooting in Salina.
Officers were sent to Salina Regional Health Center at 10:30pm Monday, after a 31-year-old man came in with a gunshot wound to his groin area. He was taken to surgery with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Ryan Matthew of Valley Center, Kansas.
The shooting occurred at 669 Montrose, between 10:25 and 10:29 in the evening.
Police say that Matthew is not cooperating with them, but an investigation is continuing.

Salina Police are investigating after a man with a gunshot wound arrived at the hospital.
Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that officers were sent to Salina Regional Health Center at 10:30pm Monday, after a 31-year-old man came in with a gunshot wound to his groin area.
The man was taken to surgery with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and the man’s name was not released.
