UPDATE: Man Rescued From McPherson County Grain Bin

A man who had been stuck in a grain elevator in McPherson County since late Friday morning was rescued early Friday evening.

The incident happened at McPherson County Feeders, located about seven miles southeast of Marquette at 758 Pioneer Road. The man was trapped about 30 feet down, in a 100 foot tall elevator.

KSN TV reports that first responders say that the man was flown by helicopter from the grain elevator to a Wichita hospital as a precautionary measure.  The man reportedly was conscious and talking with paramedics in the ambulance.

Multiple agencies assisted in the incident, including the Salina Fire Department.

This is the second person to become trapped in an area grain elevator this week.  On Tuesday a Conway Springs man was rescued after spending seven hours trapped.

ORIGINAL: First responders are working to free a man trapped in a McPherson County grain elevator.

According to McPherson County Emergency Management, a rescue effort is underway at McPherson County Feeders, located about seven miles southeast of Marquette at 758 Pioneer Road. The man is trapped in a 100 foot tall elevator. He is conscious and breathing.
