Man Thrown from Motorcycle

A Salina man was injured in a motorcycle crash on a Roach Street.

Police say 27-year-old Krystopher Roesch-Beem was transported to Salina Regional Health Center around 2am Tuesday with a head injury, broken pelvis and other fractured bones.

Police say Roesch-Beem was riding his 2007 Kawasaki at a high rate of speed in the 700 block of Roach and was thrown from his bike after hitting a farm tire that was lying in the street.

It was not clear from the police report if he was wearing a helmet. Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that they are still investigating how the large tire got there. Roesch-Beem was later transported to Via Christie Hospital in Wichita for care.
