Man Shot in the Leg

KSAL Staff - October 9, 2015 10:57 am

A Salina man is treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound and then booked into jail on multiple charges.

Police Sergeant Jim Feldman tells KSAL News that an officer on patrol saw 24-year-old Shane McMillin driving in the 600 block of S. 5th Thursday evening at about 5:30pm and pulled him over on an active warrant.

Moments later McMillin exited the car with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment and released.

A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

An eyewitness told police at the scene they heard a gunshot fired from inside the car.

McMillin is now facing charges that include criminal discharge of a firearm, possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.

Police say McMillin was wanted for a probation violation.

What a jerk this guy must be now we the taxpayers must pay for his hospital bills and to keep him in jail. If he had killed himself we all would of been ahead and not have to ever deal with this pos again.

I am glad the driver did not come out of the car gun blazing at the officer, or civilians. There may have been a fine line of that happening, then it becomes national news.

This hoodlum is like he is because his parents spoiled him and let him do anything he wanted growing up. His mom is a druggie in prison and he dad never disciplined him when he was growing up. And all his dad cared about when he was growing up was bodybuilding and showing off his muscles so he could cheat of his wife. And you think they care about him now? Heck no!! Bad parenting produces loser/druggie/drunks like this guy!!!!!!
