Man Jailed on Drug Charges

An I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force investigation leads to the arrest of a Salina man.

According to Task Force Commander Captain Jim Norton, police used surveillance and several controlled meth buys before arresting 35-year-old John S. Windell of 142 N. 11th Street, on Monday afternoon.

The months long investigation used a confidential informant to purchase more than 50 grams of methamphetamine from Windell.

Police also seized his 1997 Chevy pickup which was allegedly used to deliver drugs around Salina.

Windell is now facing multiple drug charges that include possession, use and distribution of methamphetamine.
