A Brookville man in police custody after being arrested yesterday by Salina police.

Marcus Smith, 33, posted an ad on the Craigslist personal page, to which members of the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force responded to. Smith believed he was talking to a 14-year-old girl when in reality, he was communicating to an undercover investigator.

Smith sent explicit photographs to his supposed teenage girl, and arranged to meet her at Centennial Park.

Smith was arrested yesterday at the park, and is being charged with electronic exploitation of a child, exploitation of a child, attempted sodomy, attempted indecent liberties with a child, promoting obscenity and driving on an expired licence.
