Salina Police arrest a man after he allegedly held a woman captive inside a motel room.

Staff at Salina Regional Health Center contacted police after a 31-year-old woman took a cab to the hospital to get help.

The victim told officers that 39-year-old Joshua Moore beat her, held a knife to her throat and sodomized her inside a room at the Travelers Lodge, 245 S. Broadway, between September 16th and September 19th.

Captain Mike Sweeney did not elaborate on how the woman was able to slip away from the room, but added she was treated at the hospital for a cut on her lip and had multiple bruises on her body in various stages of healing.

Moore was arrested on Saturday and is facing multiple charges that include aggravated criminal sodomy, kidnapping, criminal threat and aggravated assault.
