Man Arrested for Abusing Dog, Owner

A man is arrested after assaulting a man walking his dog on Friday.

Salina Police were dispatched to Salina Regional Health Center on May 2nd in reference to an aggravated battery case. While there they contacted the victim, a 48 year old Salina man who was being treated for a right eye injury which required nine stitches.

He claimed that while walking his dog in the 200 block of Hartland Avenue around 140pm he was approached by the suspect. The man allegedly kicked his dog and then hit him in the head rendering him unconscious. The victim was able to describe the suspect and after searching the area officers were able to identify and arrest Jeffrey Plott, 49, of Salina.

Plott was booked into Saline Co. jail and is charged on one count of aggravated battery.
