A Salina man was booked into jail on charges of domestic battery after an argument turned violent.

Police arrested 23-year-old Pedro Beltran on Saturday after officers met with a woman in her 20’s who told them Beltran had beat her in their east Salina home.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that Beltran allegedly held her against her will, pulled her hair and repeatedly hit her in the head.

The woman had bruising and swelling on her face.

The victim also told officers about an incident in September, alleging Beltran had held her down with a gun to her head. He is facing numerous charges including domestic battery, aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon.
