Male Student Threatens Staff at St. Francis

A 16-year-old student at St. Francis Academy is now in juvenile detention in Junction City after an altercation with staff.

Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that staff member Ronda Rees confronted the boy after she saw him throwing chairs in a third story dormitory at the school which is located at 5097 W. Cloud Street.

Deputies say the youth then shoved Rees and told her he would,” kill her.”

Moments later Robert Thompson with St. Francis intervened and was scratched in the face by the boy’s fingernails.

The unidentified student is now facing criminal threat, two counts of battery and criminal damage to property.
