Lottery Waiting For $3 Million Winner to Come Forward

The Kansas Lottery is waiting to see who will claim the $3,617,726 Super Kansas Cash jackpot in last Saturday’s drawing.

According to the lottery, one ticket sold in northeast Kansas, matched all numbers to win a jackpot that had been rolling for more than ten months.

The winning numbers are 14-22-24-27-30 Super Cashball 9.

The best advice the Kansas Lottery has for the new multi-millionaire is to make sure to sign the back of the ticket!  That ensures no one else can claim the prize. Then put the ticket in a safe place until it is claimed at Lottery headquarters in Topeka. The Lottery also recommends jackpot winners consult with an attorney or financial professional before claiming their prize. The jackpot winner has 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim the jackpot, but the Lottery says big winners seldom wait that long.

After taxes, the jackpot winner will receive a payment of $2,532,408. The Kansas Lottery is mandated to withhold $1,085,318 in income withholding taxes (25 percent federal and 5 percent state) from the prize.

The Super Kansas Cash jackpot is now an estimated $110,000 for Wednesday’s drawing, after no ticket matched all numbers last night.

Any ticket that matches all numbers in tonight’s Mega Millions drawing will win or share a jackpot estimated at $303 million, with a cash option of $186.9 million. Powerball is also on the rise, with an estimated jackpot of $261 million for Wednesday, with a cash option of $162.4 million.  A jackpot winner in Wednesday’s Hot Lotto drawing would win $8.89 million, with the Lottery playing the initial income withholding taxes.
