Local Thefts Under Investigation

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a car trailer is stolen from a local business.

Sometime between 4 p.m. April 11 and 8:50 p.m. April 13 a 2013 black PJ-T6 car-hauler tilt trailer was stolen in the 2000 block of Centennial Road.

The trailer was parked in a driveway south of Precision Machine & Welding. Total loss is $5669.

A vehicle is broken into at a Salina club.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a theft case after a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier is vandalized. The vehicle owned by Brandon Swenson, 29, of Solmon had its front window busted out by a brick between 2 and 8 a.m. on Sunday in the 1500 block of West State Street.

The car was securely parked at the night club Outlaws when a battery, stereo, iPod and subwoofer were taken from the vehicle. Total loss and damage is listed at $1070.

Numerous tools are stolen from a shed in southeast Saline county.

Officers were called to the home of Dennis Swensen, 65 after he discovered one of his buildings had been broken into.

Sometime between 6:30 p.m. April 11 and 3 p.m. April 12 the shed which was dead bolted was pillaged. Items stolen include a acetylene tank with a cart and a Craftsman tool box with a plethora of tools.

Total loss and damage is estimated at $2000.
