Life Sentence In Child Sex Case

A Salina man has been sentenced to three life sentences with no possibility of parole for 25 years for sex crimes against three small children. The crimes involved two girls and a boy, and occurred between July and September 2014.

Court officials tell KSAL News that 72-year-old Gerald A. Jones was sentenced on Monday.

Jones was arrested back in September, after police met with a preschool aged girl at the hospital. The girl’s parent took her to Salina Regional Health Center and medical staff contacted police.

Prior to Monday’s sentencing, Jones pleaded no contest in December to three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
