Lawrence man has to turn over evidence

A Douglas County judge has ruled that a Lawrence man accused of secretly videotaping people in a clothing store has to turn over some computer evidence.

Orion M. Graf has pleaded not guilty to 10 felony counts of breach of privacy. His trial is set for May 14. Authorities allege that the crimes occurred between November 2012 and February 2013.

According to the state’s motion, investigators reviewed about 17,000 video clips found on Graf’s computers. A motion from prosecutors says an external hard drive was strongly encrypted. District Judge Sally Pokorny granted the prosecutor’s motion Friday to compel Graf to turn over decrypted information stored on the hard drive.
