KSU Salina To Remember, Honor Instructor

The K-State Salina family will honor a beloved instructor who was killed in a plane crash late last year. The school is planning a special event this coming Friday to remember and honor Charlie Sojka.

Sojka died back in November when a plane he was piloting crashed near Booneville, Missouri. He and his family were headed back home to Salina.

According to KSU Salina, Sojka was a “deeply admired faculty member”. The school is planning a recognition service on Friday.  The campus will gather at 2:00 pm in the College Center Conference Room for a brief program, and to share memories with Sojka’s family, co-workers, and friends.

Along with Sojka’s family, friends, former students, and faculty will all participate in the event to remember, and celebrate Sojka’s life and legacy.
