KSAL Storm Spotter Hosting Event

An event for those interested in severe weather is planned at Kansas Wesleyan University this week.

According to the school, veteran Kansas storm spotter Henry Diehl will offer his expertise as part of the Smoky Hills Audubon Society free presentation series on Thursday.

Diehl is a 1973 graduate of Fort Hays State University and in 1975 enrolled in storm spotting courses with the National Weather Service and subsequently began spotting for the organization. In 1977, he began spotting for KSN News and is currently in his eighth year of spotting for KSAL.

This free presentation, “Storm Spotting for KSAL…Reflecting on the Wild Year 2013,” will be held in Peters Science Hall room 229 on the Kansas Wesleyan campus.
