KHP Troopers Stay Busy During Holiday

Kansas State Troopers had a busy Thanksgiving weekend.

The Kansas Highway Patrol Tuesday released its Thanksgiving holiday activity. The reporting period for the holiday weekend ran from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013.

During that time, the Patrol worked two fatal crashes, which resulted in two deaths. Neither of the fatal crashes were DUI-related.

Information is compared to the Thanksgiving holiday periods since 2010. All had similar reporting periods, from 6:00 p.m. the Wednesday prior to the holiday, through the Sunday following the Thanksgiving holiday.
