Drug Test Leads To Potpourri Arrest

A potpourri investigation that began in August ends with the arrest of a Saline County man.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that chemicals in a potpourri mix – found at a home near Assaria this summer tested positive for banned substances by a KBI lab.

Deputies arrested 24-year-old David E. Forsberg on Thursday for possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.

Back on August 7th, officers responded to 218 Cox Way #21, after family members told dispatch that Forsberg was acting strangely after smoking potpourri.

EMS checked him out and deputies seized packets of the suspected illegal drug for testing.

On Thursday, deputies also seized more potpourri from the home, finding 40.3 grams of a suspected illegal combination along with five marijuana bongs and five marijuana pipes.
