Kansas Senate Majority Leader’s Wife Arrested

The wife of Kansas Senate Majority Leader Terry Bruce is free on bond after her arrest Wednesday afternoon on DUI and drug charges.

Sarah Bruce of Nickerson was arrested after a two vehicle accident in the 100 block of South Main where Hutchinson Police say she’d backed into a vehicle in the 100 block of South Main.

No injuries were reported in that accident.

While initially booked into jail for DUI, jail reports later indicated she was being held on possession of depressant drugs.

She posted a $1,000 bond about four hours after being booked into jail.
