Kansas National Guard Training Accident

There were no injuries in a training accident involving a Kansas National Guard helicopter Tuesday night.

According to the agency, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from the Kansas National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 108th Aviation was involved in a non-injury training accident at the McPherson airport.

The helicopter was carrying a crew of four. It made a hard landing at approximately 11:54 in the evening during a standard night-training exercise on the runway of the McPherson airport. There were no injuries, but the helicopter sustained damage that made it unable to fly.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
