K-9 Unit Makes Drug Arrest

A 34-year-old Ohio man is being held in custody after police reported finding marijuana paraphernalia in his vehicle.

According to Sheriff Glen Kochanowski, a K-9 unit stopped the eastbound car for a speeding violation around 6:00 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 70 approximately five miles west of Salina at milemarker 247. The officer smelled marijuana on the suspect, leading to a search.

Kochanowski says the search turned up numerous items purchased in Denver, Colorado containing 100mg THC, including various green vegetation items.

Travis Eads of Dayton has been booked into Saline County jail on one count of speeding, as well as possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
