Police make an arrest in burglary case from last month.

Officers were sent to an apartment in the 500 block of E. Crawford on May 3rd, after Paul Smith called for help.

Smith said he answered a knock at his door and was hit on the side of his head, knocking his glasses off.

A police investigation led to a warrant and the arrest of 30-year-old Trevar Johnson on Tuesday.

Police allege Johnson hit the victim several times in the head, flipped over his coffee table and then stole his cell phone.

Johnson is facing charges of aggravated burglary, theft and battery.
