Injury Crash on Simpson Rd.

Two teens were injured in a single vehicle crash over the weekend.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Simpson Road and Water Well Road on Saturday evening at about 9:15pm after a driver lost control of her 2002 Ford Escape.

Deputies say Kaleigh Jackson, 17 of Salina was driving southbound on Simpson Road when a tire dipped onto the soft shoulder, she overcorrected and crossed the road, crashing on the other side and the vehicle came to rest on the passenger side.

Jackson complained of a headache while her passenger, Kaden Moresco, 16 of Salina had leg pain. Both were taken to the hospital for observation by a friend.

Deputies say both were buckled up at the time of the accident.
