A Salina man is jailed on charges for indecent liberties with a 15-year-old female victim.

Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that 26-year-old Chance Jackson was taken into custody over the weekend after officers interviewed a 15-year-old girl at Salina Regional Health Center.

She told police that she was acquainted with Jackson through mutual friends and the two began texting.

On Thursday he allegedly convinced her to sneak out of her house, take a ride to his in the 1000 block of Park and then share pot and liquor with him.

A short time later he assaulted her and then drove her back to her home.

Jackson is now facing charges that could include 2 counts of indecent liberties with a child, 1 count of criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties, distribution and contributing to a child’s misconduct.
