Salina Police

Police are investigating a residential burglary and theft that occurred in west/central Salina.

Officers were called to to the 1400 block of Oak on Friday after the homeowner returned to find numerous items missing from his house.

Officers say the back door was forced open and someone stole tools, guns, electronics and a 1996 Chevy 1500 4×4 pickup.

A short inventory of items included a flat screen TV, .22 rifle, 12-gauge shotgun, power tools, yard tools, video games, a laptop computer, and three, small 4-wheel ATVs.

Total loss and damage is listed at $7,500.

Oh well another unsolved case. When is the lazy city manager going to hire a new police chief? He has not even interviewed anyone yet. Maybe he should be fired and we can get to new people one for his position and a new to the area police chief.
