High Speed Chase Hit 100 MPH on Interstate

A car chase that began in Salina early Saturday morning ends in McPherson County with two arrests.
A man and woman were taken into custody following a 28-minute high speed pursuit that began when a Salina patrol officer attempted a vehicle stop in the 1600 block of Beverly just before 2am.
Captain Chris Trocheck tells KSAL News that the driver then led police up to I-135 and I-70, and ultimately sped through Salina on S.9th at speeds up to 60-mph until troopers from the Kansas Highway Patrol used spikes to stop the vehicle in McPherson County.
Police arrested the driver, 28-year-old Cheyenne Kenyon of Salina on charges of flee and elude, reckless driving and driving while suspended.
The passenger, 36-year-old John Harper of Salina, who was sought on a felony warrant, is also facing additional charges for flee and elude.
There were no injuries.
