You’re Not You When You’re Hungry

UPDATE: Ryan Howser has been charged with a second case of burglary and theft.

Howser allegedly broke into Callabresi using a key on January 12, and stole $23 cash, a drafting and scaling pen, a Trane heat pump, thermostats and a Snickers bar.

Howser was charged after surveillance footage was uncovered in the business.

A Salina man was arrested after police found him in Callabresi Heating and Cooling early Wednesday morning.

Salina Police was dispatched in reference to an alarm set off at the business located at 1311 Armory Road. When police arrived, they saw someone emerge from the building, and when the suspect saw the police, he reentered the building and locked the door behind him. Police obtained a key to the business and after thoroughly searching the building, they found 30-year-old Ryan Howser hiding behind boxes in the attic.

Police found a canvas bag that is believed to be Howser’s, containing $1,429 in heating and cooling parts.

Howser now faces counts of burglary, theft and obstruction.
