Health officials have rescinded a boil water advisory that was imposed in Manhattan after a power outage created the potential for bacterial contamination.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment made the announcement Tuesday, one day after the order was issued. The agency said in a news release that laboratory testing samples collected from Manhattan’s public water supply showed no evidence of contamination.
