A Salina woman who was injured in a head-on crash early Wednesday has died at a Wichita hospital.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan tells KSAL News that 55-Year-old Song Horton died Thursday night after suffering serious injuries in a two vehicle crash at 4:26am Wednesday morning on North Ohio Street near Stimmel Road.

Salina Police reported that a 1993 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by 32-year-old Patrick Driscoll was southbound and crossed the center line – striking head on the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Horton.

Both were transported to Salina Regional Health Center before moving to a hospital in Wichita.

Driscoll is being treated for injuries to his lower extremities.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol was found in Driscoll’s truck.

Authorities are awaiting results from Driscoll’s blood tests for alcohol consumption as the investigation into the crash continues.
