The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of more than $23,000 in guns and jewelry from a home Northwest of Salina.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says that 43-year-old Sonia and 39-year-old Manuel Garcia reported on Monday the thefts from their home at 1477 N. Fairchilds Road. The thefts occurred between July 21st and August 4th. Multiple people came and went from the home during the time periosd

Missing items include a Colt Government Super .38 caliber handgun, and a Norinco Mak-90 rifle with a sawed off stock.

Numerous jewelry items were also taken including a gold men’s watch with black face, a gold bracelet with the date of 12-25-74 etched on it, a gold necklace, a men’s necklace with reddish chinese gold, a gold emlem with Virgin Mary on it, and a gold weekly bracelet.

Total loss is estimated at $23,050.
