Grant a Christmas Wish

Saint Francis Community Services in Salina is working to help Christmas wishes come true for children in foster care in Kansas.

Vickee Spicer, Marketing Director at Saint Francis joined in on the KSAL Morning News on Tuesday with a look at the program that reaches out to children and foster parents with a gift.

Spicer says “Christmas for Kids” is a program that  connects groups and individuals with children who are often times without family traditions over the holidays.

“You want to try and create a memory that’s a positive memory, she said.

“Some find forever families through adoption and again developing new traditions. The gift is something that’s a special memory and it’s coming from some people who care about you.”

According to Spicer the timeline to organize and deliver the gifts for about 200 children is coming up around December 15th.

Spicer added to donate a new unwrapped gift or to make a financial contribution to Saint Francis Community Services program head to:  www.ChristmasForKids.com or call 800-898-4896.
