Girl Safe After Reported Abduction

KSAL Staff - September 23, 2015 11:01 am

Salina police are investigating a reported abduction that happened last night.

According to police, an eight-year-old girl was playing in her backyard last night when a vehicle pulled into the wooded yard and allegedly took her.

The parents called into the police saying she was no longer in the backyard. She was able to get away from her alleged captor, and a deputy was able to find her.

The suspect is an adult male, but at this time, Salina police have not released further information regarding the incident or the suspect. Law enforcement hopes to have more details following interviews in the next several days.

Like someone passing by is going to pull into a wooden area next to the house. If it is wooded how would they see the kid to begin with and why would the parents not here the auto? Something fishy here. Hope the sheriff is investigating this matter himself.
