Gateway Damaged in Hit and Run

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a vehicle that smashed into a gateway to a rural property on East North Street and fled.

The incident occurred sometime around 1am on Tuesday and caused about $4,000 damage to the fence and gate at Tamarack Landing at 5236 E. North Street.

Owners Dennis and Denise Russell told deputies she may have heard a loud crash around 1am.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says the vehicle likely has heavy front end damage. “Anyone with information about this hit and run should contact the Saline County Sheriff’s Office,” he said.
