Former Salina Teen Killed in Tubing Accident Identified

Nemaha County Authorities have released the name of the 14-year-old boy killed Monday evening in a tubing accident at the Centralia City Lake.

KNZA Radio reports Nemaha County Sheriff Rich Vernon identifies the victim as Nicholas Frazer of Centralia.

He died after he was thrown from the tube, being pulled by a boat, around 6:00 Monday evening.

Transported from the scene to the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca, Frazer was pronounced dead a short time later.

A memorial service is planned for 4:00 Saturday at the Centralia Community Center.

Frazer is a former Salina resident. He attended Oakdale Elementary School and Lakewood Middle School.
