Ex-Solomon Teacher Pleads To Sex Charges

KSAL Staff - August 7, 2013 2:00 pm

A former Solomon teacher pleads to sex charges.

According to Dickinson County court officials, 28-year-old Amber Stroda on Wednesday pleaded to three felony counts of unlawful sexual relations.

Stroda was arrested back in February of this year. She was accused of having sex with two different male Solomon High School students. The students at the time were between the ages of 14 and 18.

Stroda was a third grade teacher in the Solomon district at the time, and the coach of the high school dance team. She had resigned in October.

A sentencing date of October 2nd was set.

Another case of poor reporting. What will she be pleading to as far as committing what crime? What are the sentencing guidelines.

What is wrong with these guys? When I was in school all of us guys would have been happy to have a teacher like this. Go figure.

For sure we did not have any young ones. Funny the story about USD305 on here a teacher relates her students told her they need to be loved. This teacher did some loving look where it got her.

Igg the hiring of young teachers just a few years apart from current students is a problem. Those people in charge 40 years ago took measures to insure there was some age difference. That aside years ago there were dress codes now these kids can walk into school wearing anything they wish. Who is to blame? Definately it is the administrators and school boards. Seems their only interest anymore is money not the welfare of the students or providing them a good solid education. Further the screening done by the boards of education across the state on Superintendents and teachers needs to be looked at and improved.
