Ms. Jennifer Hedberg

She teaches FACS – Culinary Arts and has taught a total of 5 years; 1st year at CHS. She chose teaching because she grew up in a family that valued the importance of education and the impact it can have on your life and she wants to share that value with her students. She enjoys her students and how they amaze her every day and challenge her to be better. Ms. Hedberg’s favorite part of teaching is the look on the student’s face when they succeed at something for the first time. She wishes to tell us, “Encourage your kids in their dreams; help them to see that they are good enough and that you believe in them.”

 

Alex Stastny

He’s in the 10th grade; son of Amy Martin. His favorite subject is history because it is interesting and the class is fun. According to his teachers and peers, one thing that is really special about Alex is that he is able to bring out the best in the others in my classroom. He wants others to enjoy learning and take pride in it like he does.

 

Maria Flores Garcia

She’s in the 10th grade and is the daughter of Celestino Flores and Maria Flores. She participates at school as a Link Leader. In her community she helps at her church. Maria’s favorite subject in school is Favorite classes are conditioning and geometry. What she likes most about school are the teachers. She has a passion for animals.

 

Ian Keopraseuth

He’s in the 7th grade with a 4.0 GPA; son of Angi Keopraseuth. In the school he participates in football. He enjoys going to school because he likes advanced reading because it gives him a challenge. Ian plans to attend college and get a job. He has a puppy named Olivia.

 

Vanessa Jimenez

She’s in the 6th grade. In the community she has participated in the feed my starving children, she says it was such an amazing experience and for a great cause. What she enjoys most about school is the teacher’s sense of humor; it helps her stay motivated for school. After graduating high school, she would love to go to college. Vanessa wants to thank the xcel program because they have helped her a lot in school. She also wants to thank her family members for encouraging her to do better.
